Summary
Two bodies, identical in position, lay at either end of the corrupted area. Brothers entwined in soul yet forever apart, yanked away by the strings of fate. Both were on their backs, their legs folded under them as though they were on their knees before they fell. Both had a bloody wound over their hearts. But their similarities ended there. For one brother had a golden hoop over his forehead, a halo of shattered crystals surrounding his knotted cyan hair, while the other had cracked horns sprouting from his head, dead and withered. One seemed to emit a soft ethereal glow, even in death, while the other lay boiling in his own hate. One's soul cold, his blood steaming hot, the other's soul burned with rich flames, while his blood froze within him.

Summary
Scott didn't expect to hurt his wing. Scott never expected to hurt his wing. He was far too careful and elegant to even stumble over a stray boot lace or a slight bump in the cold floors of his palace. And so, when he clipped his right wing against an outstretched branch, which sent pain shuddering through his entire body, and careened downwards into a bright flower field in the Overgrown, it was with great surprise and shock. But the moment when he tried to stretch out his wings, he quickly drew them back to curl around his body because a stronger bolt of pain flashed through him, which scared him more.
Or, Scott falls in The Overgrown, and Katherine and Jimmy help him :)

The Elvenking was next to speak.
"It's hard, isn't it?" I... can't see him die again. I can't-" he cut himself off to hold his palm against his mouth.
The Ocean Queen merely looked at him, before sighing and sagging, dropping all pretence of good posture and overall mental stability.
"So many years, so many people... Gone. For nothing,"
