The story of Imperial Tsundere Pair over the Warriors Orochi series, this is a look behind the scenes in the game, how Cao Pi and Ishida Mitsunari forged a bond across time, space and culture that continued after they returned to their own time at the end of Warriors Orochi 3.

Written from Cao Pi's perspective, Head Over Feet tells of them falling in love during Warriors Orochi 1. Also from Cao Pi's perspective, A Few Close Shaves and Never, Never add some extra insight to their relationship. Memories In Ash and Snow tells of Mitsunari's childhood and his death with Cao Pi at Hulao Gate in the original timeline of Warriors Orochi 3. 白雪無双 has them reincarnated into an alternate fairytale universe after dying at the end of Memories In Ash and Snow. Finally, These Dreams I Dreamed is the story of what happens after they return to their own time as told by Mitsunari during the upheaval of Sekigahara as he reads Cao Pi's memoirs.

Notes:

I blend historical fact, Musou fiction, headcanon and bits of information and anecdotes from various sources that may be either fact or fiction for the background and setting of this fic. Sometimes, trying to get all the information to agree is difficult, and where there is conflict, I go with what happens in the games, true to the spirit of fanfiction.

I first wrote Head Over Feet to give my friends a better understanding of why I love this pairing above all others with Mitsunari. It remains one of my favourite stories I've written. These Dreams I Dreamed was inspired by WO3's True Ending. A Few Close Shaves is a smutty little tribute written for Mitsunari's death anniversary. Never, Never was written for the 1sentence challenge on LiveJournal. Memories In Ash and Snow was originally a bunch of anecdotes about Mitsunari's childhood that I turned into a final moments fic. 白雪無双, a mostly crack Snow White and the Seven Dwarves AU, came about because I liked Mitsunari's fandom nickname too much to resist the Disney Princess casting.

I may add to this series in the future, but for now, consider it complete. Every fic stands quite well on it's own, so don't feel obliged to read the entire series in order!
