Summary
"The effect, Mickey could feel, was instant. His shaking’s stilled and he turned his head briefly to give Mickey a warm, loving smile which Mickey loathed to admit gave him a tingly feeling in his stomach. God he was a sap for Ian Gallagher.
“We’re getting married, and he is going to be my husband and we are gonna be all shade of gay, adopt a damn dog, get our own place, a proper place, and live our goddamn lives. I want you to be part of that more than anything Lip, but I’ll have it regardless of whether you’re happy for me or not.” Ian finished."
The announcement nearly goes how Ian had hoped. Oh so nearly.

Summary
"Louder, more incessant knocking started.
“Fucker! They’re not gonna stop, let me deal with whoever that is and then we can continue on what you’ve got planned” Mickey grinned, pecking Ian on the lips before dragging himself from their bed.“Don’t you dare fucking move Firecrotch” he called back into their bedroom, tugging his, although by the length of them they were actually Ian’s, sweatpants on.
“Alright, alright fucking knock it… oh” Mickey was actually kind of shocked to see Lip’s face when he opened the door.
“Erm, hey Mickey. Is Ian here?”"
Maybe Lip was slightly less of a dick then Mickey thought. Very slightly...

Summary
"Ian rolled his eyes but still leant into him for some support “Mickey I told my family, you should tell yours.”
Mickey just looked at his fiancé pleadingly, the distress he was feeling evident on his face.
“Okay, okay” Ian soothed, placing his hand on the panicking man’s knee and giving it a squeeze.
“Ian?” Mandy questioned, her concern increasing with Mickey’s reaction, her eyes flickering between the two boys sitting opposite her.
“What is it?” Iggy chimed in from next to her, a very out of character look of concentration on his face.
Ian decided to just come out with it. “We just wanted to tell you guys, well… we’re getting married!”"Mickey doesn't know why he expected his siblings to react badly, but he did.

Summary
"He was contemplating whether it was worth the risk of Ian being annoyed at him when Svetlana interrupted his thoughts.
“Why you still here? I am here now, you can take Yev home” she reminded him.
“Yeah I know. I just. I have something to tell you” Mickey paused.Svetlana just waited for him to continue. Mickey sighed.
“I just thought you should know. Well Ian did as well. That, we’re getting married.” At least he was actually able to get the words out this time he thought to himself."How do you tell your ex-wife you're getting married?

Summary
"“Who knew Mickey Milkovich could be such a sweetheart” V said, Fiona smiling.
Ian was just trying Mickey’s cell for the tenth time when Lip’s panic ridden voice broke in from the living room.
“IAN!”The redhead was up out of his seat, running into the living room where what he saw nearly made his knees buckle. Lip, with the help of Iggy, was holding up a sagging and bleeding Mickey, his eyes failing to focus on anything, fighting to remain open."
It was their engagement party. It was meant to be happy. But they were in the Southside after all.

Summary
"“IAN NO! Don’t be stupid, sit back down. We’ll deal with that later. I’ll deal with it.”
“NO! I’ll deal with it and I’ll deal with it now!” Ian then turned back towards the door.
“IAN STOP!” Mickey jumped up trying to run after him but found his head spinning, obviously having gotten up too quickly. He put a hand to his head and awkwardly sat himself on the coffee table to stop himself from falling over. “Fuck.”"
Mickey doesn't like the idea of Ian getting into a fight for him. That doesn't mean he doesn't love him for it.

Summary
" They both shrugged on a thin coat, winter was coming to an end but it was still pretty chilly outside, and before Ian could walk away Mickey stopped him and wrapped a scarf around his eyes.
“Hey…” Ian tried to complain.
“I want it to be a proper surprise so you gotta wear this on the way.”
Mickey couldn’t see them, but he’d bet money that Ian rolled his eyes when he relented with a “Fine.”
Mickey guided a blind Ian to the car, helping him in before walking around to the driver’s side pausing before he got in to take a deep breath. “Here goes.” "It's Ian's Birthday and he doesn't understand what he has done to deserve a love like Mickey's!

Summary
"“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. Mick” Ian tried to step towards him again but this time Mickey turned away.
“I can’t be here right now. I need to go. Sober up Ian, and take your meds.” With that he grabbed his coat and left the house.
All Ian could do was watch his fiancé leave, frozen in place by the knowledge of what he had just done. When he realised Mickey wasn’t coming back he did exactly what Mickey instructed. He downed a pint of water, swallowed his evening pills and then laid down on the sofa and cried himself to sleep."
Ian regrets the words as soon as he says them but now there's no taking them back. No matter how much he wants to.

Summary
"Ian laughed, finishing with the last button and smoothing the shirt down before grabbing Mickey’s hips and pulling the smaller man into him till there was no space between their bodies, leaning down to place a lingering kiss on his fiancé’s lips.
“And remember what you promised.” Ian said when they finally pulled away to breathe.
“Yeah, yeah, I promise to get plenty drunk even though I was perfectly happy to stay sober with you all night.”
“I know you were, and I love you for that. But I know when we are married you’ll always be doing that, so I want you to enjoy tonight. Get completely hammered and I can bring you painkillers in the morning when it hurts to open your eyes.”"
Its time for their bachelor party, and their attempt to embarrass Mickey backfires when they realise he is more talented then they thought.

Summary
"Mickey smoothed down his jacket and leant in to Ian to kiss him softly but intensely. (Not realising till later that Svetlana had taken a picture of them just as they were leaning in, one that they both loved so much that it demoted the Gallagher family portrait from the centre photo on their fireplace. The pure love so obviously evident in the looks they were giving each other.)
“Let’s get married” Ian whispered into Mickey’s mouth when they pulled away.
“Yeah, let’s get married.” Mickey smiled."
It's finally their big day and Ian and Mickey are feeling all kinds of emotions.

Summary
" Mickey had always been susceptible to bad headaches after a long day but it was around the time that he started doing the numbers for the Alibi that Ian came home to find his husband slumped over in an armchair, curled up around himself with all the curtains drawn and the lights off.
The scene startled Ian a bit, he wasn’t used to seeing Mickey look so… helpless. He dropped his bag and walked over to kneel beside his husband.“Mick what’s wrong?” he asked, the concern evident in his voice.
All he got was a groan in response. "
Ian didn't like to see his husband suffer, especially when he could prevent it.

Summary
Ian studied his husbands face, looking into his blue eyes and finding no deceit he realised he was actually being serious.
“Wait, you’re allergic to dogs?” Mickey nodded.
“Fuck off. How did I not know that! How long have we been together and I did not know this. FOR FUCK SAKE I’M YOUR HUSBAND AND I DIDN’T KNOW…” Mickey halted Ian’s sentence by covering his mouth with his hand.
“Why are you shouting at me when I am inches away from you!?” Ian huffed but seemed to not put up a struggle so Mickey removed his hand tentatively.
“I didn’t know Mickey.”
Ian was always a bit of a drama queen, now was no exception.

“Finally you’re home.” Mickey yawned, “Let’s go the fuck to bed. I’ve gotta be in for the early shift again tomorrow.”
He began to shuffle towards the stairs but paused when Ian let out a non-humoured laugh. He turned around and raised his eyebrows questioningly.“Really Mick? I come home from work, obviously pissed off and you’re not gonna even ask me what’s up?” Ian strained.
Whether it was the tiredness or he was just oblivious but Mickey was genuinely confused."

"When he walked downstairs and into the living room he found Ian standing at the window looking out onto the street. Before he had a chance to ask what the fuck this was all meant to be about Ian spotted what he was looking for.
He whipped around grinning. “They’re here.”
“They?” Now Mickey was super confused. “Whose they?”
A knock at the door followed and Ian lent forward to gently press Mickey towards it.

Summary
“Are you decent in there?” A voice called through their bedroom door.
Mickey groaned and buried his head in Ian’s neck as the redhead chuckles and ran his hands up and down Mickey’s side as he straddled his lap, they were decent but the plan was not to be and Mickey was like 5 minutes away from achieving that when Mandy had to come along and interrupt their fun.
He was considering whether she would go away if they didn’t reply but Ian ruined any chance of that by calling out “You can come in Mands.”
