Summary
‘THE Celebrimbor?’, the strange man asked and an unbidden flush of warmth ran through Celebrimbor. He was almost tempted to fiddle with his hair, but centuries of self-restraint stopped him from reacting any further.
‘He’s not here, is he?’, the man - Halbrand, Galadriel had called him - continued.
Celebrimbor chuckled.
‘Well… as a matter of fact, he is,’ he said and tried very hard not to light up at the interested glint in Halbrand’s eyes. Looking away, unsure why this… human elicited such strange reactions from him, Celebrimbor turned to open the ceiling.
‘Celebrimbor’, Halbrand said and walked further into the room, his bright eyes fixed almost unnervingly on the elf.
Why did his name sound so… different on the low man’s tongue? Why were his fingertips tingling like they only did when he’d managed to fabricate something that was truly beautiful?
