(Embarrassed by my feelings toward this problematic little ship. I had to work them out in this story and post them anonymously originally because I was too much of a wimp to admit it. It's fairly innocent, though, and all in the past. Okay, MOSTLY, I add later.)
Having just come out to his brothers as a trans man, Viktor seeks out Five, alone, to double-check that the revelation has gone down okay...seeing that, once upon a time, they'd been a bit closer than anyone else knew.
Chapter Two is a prequel about first kisses and ends with a sequel of what happens just after the end of Season 3. Chapter Three is a bonus scene that happens a few hours after Chapter One and also provides a lot more Klaus for people who were sad Klaus only had like two lines in Chapter One! Said bonus scene also does the most hinting that maybe this ISN'T necessarily ALL in the past, because I wrote it months later after I'd already written two other much more shamelessly Fiktor Fiks when my mind is clearly no longer BELIEVING it's all in the past!

Viktor shook his head, trying to imagine his fastidious brother scraping together a living for himself in this hellscape. “I really did ruin your life.”
“For someone with a pathological inferiority complex, you sure have an inflated sense of culpability.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means you’re constantly apologizing for stupid shit that’s out of your control.”
“I’m…sorry?”
Five gave him a pointed look.
“Okay, but,” Viktor tugged at his hair with both hands, “this IS my fault. I was the bomb. It’s all on me.”
“Is it? Not on your sadistic excuse for a father-figure who suppressed and belittled you all your life instead of teaching you how to properly handle all that psychic plutonium? Or the manipulative, sociopathic boyfriend who preyed on all your insecurities until you blew? Or,” he lifted one finger with a look of mock epiphany, “the brother who abandoned you when you were thirteen, leaving you friendless and vulnerable in the first place?”
--In which Viktor and Five take a somewhat literal trip down memory lane in order to determine what makes a hero, what makes a villain, and, ultimately, what makes the two of them so inextricably linked.

Murphy and Viktor Petrokov from that point."The Hargreeves fell out of the Hotel Oblivion that night into a brand new universe pretending it had always been there, with places for each of them to step right into.
The brand new universe turns out to be a no-powers no-adoption AU written by a Fiktor shipper.
Now our canon characters, particularly Viktor and Five, have to figure out how to live in a new world that thinks they--or someone very like them-- have been there all along.
