Summary
“Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win.” – Stephen King
It takes a lot for a child to grow up to become a monster. And most of the time you can name the exact moments when the cruelty inside someone is born.
Vaas though, could never really recall one single moment that let to the beast in his chest come to life. As long as he can remember, his life was shit and the generational trauma passed down like a disease from one family member to the next, was enough explanation to him.
Sometimes he wonders if anything would’ve been different, if only a few minor changes happened.
Sometimes he hopes that the monster in his head wasn’t always there and therefor there’s a chance of getting rid of it again.
And sometimes, but only sometimes, he thinks that there’s no point in finding out. Not anymore.Series

Summary
To capture a predator
You can't remain the prey
You have to become
An equal
In every wayThe time has come. His biggest trial, the day he's been longing for for so long. He's close, so close to finally finding the answers he so desperately needs. But will killing Vaas really grant Jason any more clarity?
So look in the mirror
And tell me, who do you see?
Is it still you?
Or is it me?The jungle has been closing around him, weaving into his brain and making it hard to see the path. What is it that actually spurs him on? Is he really the hero in his own story?
Become the beast
We don't have to hide
Do I terrify you
Or do you feel alive? And if so, why does the darkness in him taste sweeter than every morally right choice he's ever made?
