Summary
“Steve,” Eddie spoke, his voice lush against the soft breeze of the unknown place, “so glad you could finally join me.”
Lips trembling into a smile, Steve forced his arms around Eddie’s torso, knocking the wind out of the latter, but he returned the hug gracefully. It felt so comforting the hug - something he had waited for years, although he knew he hadn’t, and it just felt that way. Nevertheless, he didn’t let go until Eddie did, a slight glassiness to his eyes.
“Eddie.” He breathlessly said, barely even a word more than a puff of air from his trapped lungs. “Where are we?”
“You’ll find out in due time, Stevie.”

Summary
"You finished being moody?" Dustin asked, his tone bored, and Steve slung the rucksack over his shoulder before facing Dustin. His hair was a frizzy halo around his face, a dagger similar to Steve's tucked into the cheap leather encircled around him, and his mud-covered boots beat the ground in a steady rhythm.
"I'm not being moody," Steve barged past the younger boy, locking the door behind him once Henderson rushed out, bags leant against the lumber wall precariously. He hoisted one up and tucked it on his shoulder, a small huff of air like Dustin's lungs had punched out. Steve picked up the other one, slinging it around his side as he drifted off to the staircase.
"You were giving Eddie the evils throughout breakfast," Dustin argued, lugging behind Steve as he clambered the stairs two at a time. "If I didn't know any better, I would say you were jealous."
Steve paused, snapped his neck and glared at Dustin, who raised his eyebrows knowingly. "I am not jealous of Eddie fucking Munson."

Summary
"Take me to the Border of the Banished," Steve ordered, slamming the door on the wall and staring at Eddie and Nancy - both leaning against the desk, examining a map - with his fists firmly on his hips.
A beat passed, then two before they both unanimously yelled, "What?!"

Summary
Steve loved Christmas - Eddie knew that. He loved the lights, the presents, and the jolly, even though a flicker could send him into a spiral and the events of '83 plagued his mind daily. That didn't stop Steve from celebrating the festive season, though. If Eddie didn't have reservations about the holiday, he might have joined in with the eggnog and decorated the tree.
But Eddie hated Christmas. He made it clear with each opportunity he got. 'A grinch', Dustin would call him, and Eddie would take that title and pin it on his battle jacket with pride under normal circumstances. But these aren't normal circumstances because Robin Buckley had a notepad and a brain full of devious ideas, and being friends with Robin meant that you had to be subject to the worst of torture - even if you did put yourself in that situation.
Eddie could learn to appreciate the holiday if Robin didn't give him the stinkeye whenever he got an inch close to Steve.
