Summary

Febuwhump 2023 Day 2: Flinching.
Morpheus closes his eyes, and sitting on a bench, draws inward, looking. Are there fault lines he's neglected? He's missing something. Something besides the time and recent memories. Expands. Facets, all seeming intact. There are no inclusions or fractures, but something hurts, glancing across his being.

Summary
Welp, it's some angst and hurt/comfort for everyone. Dream is not having a good time, aka captured and forced to shapeshift. Hob rescues him, but in the aftermath Dream finds it difficult to change his shape without remembering.
Febuwhump Day 3: Muzzled
He shudders. Someone's hands are on his face. Patting at it frantically. His face. With nothing clamped over it. He opens his eyes, taking a sharp, stuttering inhale.
"There you are," Hob says softly, and Dream licks his dry lips, marveling at the feel of them again. He raises his own human-shaped hand – human-shaped, again – and brings it to his face. He reacquaints himself with the feel of it before his energy runs out and the hand falls back.

Summary
Hell invades the Dreaming, and Dream closes the palace gates. A few years in, the Dreaming is losing, cut off from the power of Dreamers. Unable to let his realm fall, Dream pours everything he has into a last-resort attack. The Dreaming goes dark, locked in stasis, and everyone stops dreaming. In the Palace, Lucienne and Matthew, the only ones left awake, navigate utter darkness and what's turned into a labyrinth to the gallery. They contact Death. And Death? She asks Hob Gadling to help fix the issue.
