Summary

Delighted for a first time meeting with them, John completely misses that Dave is handling his own romantic turmoil. The two find themselves in an odd dynamic those few days, working to sort out possibly unrecognized and unresolved emotions.

Summary
Dirk and Jake had always felt drawn to each other. Even through a nasty breakup, they were two peas in a pod. They would falter in their own ways, but that never lead to them giving up on one another. The only issue now is Dirk giving up on himself. Painful surprises remind Dirk of why he decided to be alone. Hope for love turning into true devotion was difficult for a prince trapped in his mental tower to accept.
In a universe absent of a game that would probably rip them apart, Jake and Dirk try to repair a lost bond and work over the heartache that is not love but life instead.
