EDA IS ORANGE PART 1
Since the moment Luz ran away from everything she knew, Eda has been there. She’s her teacher, her protector, the only adult in her life she can really trust.
Luz is growing up faster than she ever wanted. It’s hard to stay a kid when you’re fighting an evil emperor and trying to get back home. And luckily, Eda understands. Eda doesn’t push her away once things get hard, like her mom did. She doesn’t tell her she’s too immature to be an adult. She actually listens. And what’s worse (or maybe better?) is that Eda actually LIKES her the way she is now.
Maybe a little too much.
("Reaching Out" until the end of S3, but Eda and Luz develop an unhealthy relationship. Eda is selfish, lacks self control, and is grooming Luz in an unintentional but harmful way, and Luz romanticizes the situation to cope)

Luz, Gus, and Hunter are the only ones who made it through the portal. Trying to get back to the demon realm is now nearly impossible. LUZ is the reason they’re stuck here—why Belos WON. Like that guilt isn’t hard, she’s carrying a grim secret for Eda. But she swore to keep quiet, knows what happens if she isn't, so she copes in what ways she can—Whether that be partying with her weirdo friend, slicing her skin off, or destroying what's left of her sweet childhood purity.
Hunter isn’t doing much better, still reeling from discovering his life is a lie. But they know and trust each other with their secrets, and all they have is time. With those factors, they grow much closer than they once were.
(The end of S2 through S3E1, but an au where Eda had been grooming Luz which left her traumatized. Amity and Willow didn't go through the portal, leading to different outcomes in plot)
