One day, a very bizarre cat smashes into Robby’s apartment window on the eighth floor, straight through his living room. Robby sees no other option but to take this poor little thing in and care for him. How could he not when the little guy looks so darn cute?
Unbeknownst to him, this would mark the start of a very strange and eternal bond between him and the oddest cat he has ever rescued. A very weird looking cat that’s definitely, absolutely, really not a gargoyle. Not if you ask Robby.
First and second installments are the genesis and all subsequent works will be little snapshots of Robby and Jack’s lives and shenanigans about them, there will be no overarching plot, just a collection of fun stories (although the genesis is a bit more serious in tone than the following works are expected to be)

Summary
The story of how Robby ended up with a gargoyle at home. Although if you ask him, that's not a gargoyle, that's just his cat, Jack.
Robby stopped breathing. It felt a little surreal, feeling this rough, cold little hand right over the organ that pumped blood through his entire body, allowing it to breathe, move, and live. The little creature grabbed at his t-shirt and dragged itself forward until another hand came into contact with his t-shirt and sneaked underneath the open gap of his half-unzipped hoodie. It smiled, as if it liked what it had found there, although Robby couldn’t tell what it was that it had found.
Suddenly, with an agility Robby would not have bet on, the creature jumped forward headfirst and, with something that suspiciously resembled the sound of wings flapping, it sunk into his hoodie, wriggling and shifting until its head reappeared through the opening, pressing flat against his collarbones. Both its hands were encircling his torso and holding on tight.

Summary
After centuries looking for his eternal warmth and giving up on it, Jack finally finds it, by accident.
Or Jack’s backstory and the story of how he ended up bonding with a human again despite his better judgment. But now Robby is his and he ain't ever going to share him or leave him.
Robby gasped, struggling to let Jack’s gift in, to let it settle and bind itself to him. Jack reached for Robby’s fingers and helped him through it. Letting his own stony body give the necessary instructions to Robby’s human form until everything receded back into order, rearranging itself in a series of precise, chaotic movements.
Robby breathed again and Jack could feel and appreciate the effects his essence had had on him. He could feel just how sturdier his lungs, heart, arteries, and veins were. He was satisfied that that heart would go on beating for a while longer. For long enough that, perhaps, they would have the time to bond both of their souls together, for all of Jack’s eternity.

Summary
Jack has an off day. To compensate he tries making food for his Robby, to show him that he still cares. Alas, it doesn’t go entirely according to plan. But it’s alright, because Robby loves Jack, and Jack loves Robby, and they find a solution.
“I love you.” Robby whispered, gently caressing Jack’s wings. “Even when you need to stay in bed.”
Jack held Robby tight, feeling his love travel between them and envelop him in its warm, safe embrace. Yeah, not everyone was always nice to him, but he was still lucky. He had his Robby.
