Summary
He wanted to grin like a lunatic and bare his sharp fangs, to let the kanji carved into his eyes blaze and terrify, to spit the truth at him: In another life I killed you with my own hands. I blinded you. I drove my fist through your chest and shredded your organs. I broke your bones. I drained every last drop of your blood.
And now you tell me you feel safe beside me.
But another part of him gnawed at the back of his mind like claws scratching at a locked door. Something forgotten was struggling to surface, thrashing against the waves of his consciousness. To protect. To be the reason someone feels safe.AU where Akaza kills Kyojuro beside a derailed train, and 100 years later their paths cross again, but to Akaza’s surprise, Kyojuro is now just an ordinary university student, still carrying that same blazing potential in this life. Yet, as a moth to the flame, he found himself irresistibly drawn to Kyojuro again.

Summary
Perhaps Akaza could not feel the changing seasons, perhaps heat and cold meant nothing to him, but the heat radiating from Kyojuro seeped into him, every single time, unfailingly.
_
As the seasons flow one into the next, nothing remains as it was; leaves unfurl, flowers bloom, then fade and fall, die, time courses around them like a river, reshaping the world, yet through it all, one thing stays unshaken, unwavering: the love that binds Kyojuro and Akaza to each other.Series

Summary
“Do you feel it?” Kyojuro asked, their faces mere millimeters apart, Kyojuro’s right hand seized Akaza’s wrist, lifting it into the air and threading his fingers through his own. In a swift, fluid motion, he spun Akaza around, stepping behind him, letting the warmth of his breath brush against Akaza’s ear. “I’m trying to tempt and seduce you,” he murmured, “and you… resist surrendering.”
Oh. Akaza wasn’t doing a very good job then.

Summary
Akaza’s thumb traced the back of Kyojuro’s hand, a silent apology lingering in the gentle motion.
I can make you no promise, he was saying, for keeping it would lie beyond my power, and I am afraid. If I tie your life to my promise, you too will shatter and vanish like all the promises I have ever broken, and it will be my sin to bear.Series

Summary
In Meno, Plato speaks of the Theory of Recollection, the idea that the soul is immortal and has lived many lives before this one. Because of that, what we call learning is not acquiring new knowledge, but rather remembering what the soul has already known and forgotten. To learn, then, is to uncover what was always there; to awaken the dormant truth within the soul.
Then, Kyojuro wondered, could his soul remember how to kill a demon as well?
