Summary
Minho tightened his embrace, feeling the need to be completely sincere.
"You are the only thing that truly belongs to me."
Chan smiled, a deep satisfaction spreading through his chest. He kissed Minho's forehead.
"I have been yours since the day you put me in your service, Minho."
Or,
Chan is Minho's wall, the only man whose loyalty extends beyond the blood oath, reaching a forbidden and secret devotion. When the doors close, the King becomes simply Minho, and the Guard becomes his lover. There, their love is a sensual battlefield where the authority of the throne bends to desire.

Summary
"Your Majesty did what he had to do," Chan said, his voice huskier than he intended.
Minho opened his eyes slowly. They were hazy from the heat and a vulnerability that made Chan’s pulse race. The King tilted his head slightly, a look that was half-challenge, half-plea.
"I did, didn't I?" Minho whispered, seeking in the guard’s eyes a validation his councilors would never know how to give.
"You did," Chan confirmed, the word sounding like a promise.
Or,
Chan is a unknown blade brought into the heart of the palace to be the shield for a King who trusts no one. Between secret moments, Minho’s distrust begins to warp into a hungry obsession.
As the kingdom bleeds and the masks fall, the guard discovers that protecting Minho’s life is easy, the true challenge is resisting the urge to possess the man behind the crown.
(This story is a prequel to The King's Gojong. It can be read on its own.)
