The sight was just adorable. A smile crept across both of the men’s faces.
‘Well hello there!’ Jack beamed softly as the little girl turned her head to take in her surrondings. ‘My names jack-‘ he added, keeping space between them so she didn’t feel threatened.
‘Hello..’ she murmured, head still pressed against Robby, arms thrown around his shoulders. ‘I’m Calliope May Robinavitch’ she said in response. That elicited a quiet chuckle from jack.

Summary
“Well, Dr Robinavitch..” She said, wrinkling her face, her expression confusing, it almost looked like disgust.
“Children do pick up on the emotional climate of a home, and clearly…” she said, gesturing between the men, “Different family structures can be… confusing for a child. Maybe that’s the problem here.”
Robby froze.
So did Jack.
”Different family structures.” He repeated, slowly. His voice thunderous, but low.
Her eyes met his, and she gave another tight smile. “Yes. Two fathers can be a lot for a child. It can create… Heightened emotions.”
They both stared at her. Not shouting. Not shaking. But cold.
”My daughters emotions,” Robby said, “are not caused by having two dads. They are caused by being overwhelmed, unsupported and ridiculed.” He said, hand rubbing the back of his neck.
The teacher flushed, “Well, I didn't mean-“

”You are her dad, Jack.”
Jack blinked, “No, I’m not. Not biologically-“
”I don’t care about biology.” Robby protested. “You are her dad. In everyway that matters. You show up. You care for her. You sit with her when she has a meltdown. You pick her up from school.
