“The barn!?”
Shane paused at the driver's side door of the SUV, hand on the keys, eyes locked on Ilya’s.
“What?”
“Last week in bed you mentioned we were going to a barn. I told group chat we were getting an alpaca”
Ilya was staring at him so seriously that Shane thought he had missed an entire conversation they had had.
“Ilya, what? No!” he put his hands on the hood of the car to brace himself against his laughter; Shane didn’t notice Ilya cross in front of the car to come up beside him. His annoyed huff in his ear was enough to startle him.
“I know what I heard Shane”
“Baby. I said Bulk Barn. You know, the store?”
“No Shane, I do not know the store”
“How have you lived in Ontario this long and never been to a Bulk Barn?”
“First” Ilya was holding up a finger in front of Shane as he crowded him against the SUV, a grin spreading across his face, “I have not been in Ontario that long. Second” he closed the space between them and dragged his lips across Shane’s jaw, “I promised the group chat an alpaca”
