as the description said, this is going to be a side project hoping to capture the hinomori siblings' relationship, mainly as a way to keep me writing consistently and/or a creative outlet to test out small ideas. my main inspiration came from when i was rewatching "YuruYuri" about a month ago after finding out it was yuri six years later (that's right. i didn't know the anime called yuruYURI was actually considered yuri for six years. chalk it up to me being a naive teenager). during that time, i also discovered "Oomuro-ke", a spin-off of yuruyuri, which i actually found myself enjoying a lot more. and so, it made me realize that there are barely any pieces of media that solely focus on the relationship between siblings, so i kinda wanted to give it a try in the form of this series. will their relationship actually be portrayed accurately? i dunno; that's up to you, but i sure hope i'm doing it right \( ᐖ)/\( ᐖ)/\( ᐖ)/
bullet notes:
•series name is the literal translation of their family name (according to the wiki)
•because i really want these two to be the main focus, there will (most likely) be zero romantic/sexual ships. at most, they’ll be implied, but i don’t think i’ll do even that
•fics 1-5 will be posted daily. after that, leave it up to who knows what for when i'll post another
— as of writing this, that has been proven to be a lie, and so instead i'll post them whenever i feel like it
•povs will switch between fics, but there will be no predetermined pattern
— there will be other povs as well, since seeing how other characters view their relationship seems like fun (though they will be less frequent than the main two)
•word count will vary, a lot. drabbles will be included, and even though it's my first time doing them, i think it seems fitting considering the nature of this series.
— regular(?) word count fics will still be made as well. in fact, they were the first ones i actually did
•due to the nature of this series, there will be no "ending"; thus, it will never be marked as complete
•this was originally going to be one fic with each chapter being a oneshot, but decided against it since it'd be a hassle for people to find the specific fic they like
•the titles were originally going to have a specific style (e.g., "Shii-chan's Sick Again," "Shizuku's Camera Roll," "Onee-chan's Jokes Are Pretty Lackluster"). however, they didn't really fit my style and i found them to be pretty dull, so i ended up sticking to references/originals. however, since these fic belong in a series, i'll properly capitalize the titles for once (booooring).
•i’ll be in the (slow) process of rereading mmj stories. while my memory isn’t THAT bad and it’s probably not necessary for this, i absolutely want to make sure i portray shizuku (and other potential mmj members) accurately. even if it weren’t for that, i’d still do it since mmj is 2nd on the priority list of stories i favor (not to say i don’t favor all of them, of course)
