A series of novelettes and novellas, jumping back and forth in time and space. This is the story of Ryland Grace- an autistic schoolteacher, flung out in space.

Notes:

Take a step back from the hard math and science, (this author doesn't know how to write that stuff anyway,) and accompany Grace on his journey towards self-understanding. From body image, to issues around his religious upbringing, to being diagnosed autistic in the aftermath of that "UNESCO incident." At least he can always count on his twin brother Colt and his best friend Marissa to help him through.

You'd be hard-pressed to make him admit it, but by his late thirties, Ryland Grace is proud of himself and the life he's built. He's a teacher, a scientist, and he's helping to save the world. He's made peace with himself: from his unusual mind to his large, soft body. Most of the people in his life seem to like him. A handful even love him. (Though none in *that* way, which is frankly a relief.)

Then he wakes up four years later: small, scared, and unfathomably alone. Until, amazingly, he's not alone after all...

The mission to save two planets carries tremendous risks. The Hail Mary wasn't built for this. Neither was Grace. Yet humans, for all their leaky blobbiness, are also incredibly adaptable. In times of crisis, they can draw on reserves of strength that they never even knew they had. With Rocky's help, can Grace rise to the challenge?
