Summary
"And what is your name?"
...Oh, right.
"Well... I have many names!" Sun said with pride, his glow brightening up again. "Just like how your name means Zeus, my name is Helios Ra Apollo Inti-"
Jupiter blinked.
And made a face.
The Sun paused. And chuckled. "...But I guess thats a bit of a mouthful for someone as small as you, huh?"
It had never felt right to call himself by those names anyway, considering how the little star couldn't even burn as bright as the other stars.
But then again... those others lost their minds. And Sun gained a planet.
After a bit of thinking... Sun sighed. And he lifted his precious planet back up to introduce himself again, his tone soft and eyes cloudy.
Jupiter smiled back.
Lighting up his surroundings more than any star ever could have done.
"...But you may call me... Sol."
Or
Unlike the Sun, the first time the planets woke up, there was light.

Summary
"You and your stupid asteroid belt, Jupiter I swear to Sol-" Saturn was angrily muttering under his breath, not even a trace of the playful banter from earlier to be found. "You just had to drag them in here-"
"I didn't see you coming with any better ideas!"
"They were driving me insane!" The smaller defended himself, eyes twitching. Next, his expression turned mournful. "Were we this difficult for Sol? Stars, we owe him so many apologies."
Little shattered bits and pieces of rocks and other metals drifted by their faces. Jupiter came to an abrupt halt.
Both of the toddlers were crying. Uranus loudly, gasping for breath, while Neptune was quiet, and curled up. Bits and pieces of asteroids dug into Uranus' wing. Neptune was covering his ears.
Or
How the gas giants used to take care of the baby ice giants.... and how, many years later, it turns out the methods didn't have to change.

Summary
"A what now?"
"A date, Sol." The teen groaned, rubbing with his fingers right between his eyes, by now already tired of the conversation and... incredibly confused. Okay, fine, he could understand it if the star didn't understand the concept the first time. Or the second time. Or the...
But he'd been trying to explain what exactly they were going to do for almost an entire spin of his axes now! Surely it wasn't that hard to understand?! "Me and Saturn are going to go out on a picknick."
"But you do that all the time?" Sun tilted his head in a confused manner, oh so clearly trying to understand what was so special about something the two had been doing from the moment they'd first put their eyes on each other. "What's so different about it now that you need me to watch your moons?"
Because this time it wasn't as friends. This time, Jupiter could acknowledge that the fluttering of his core and the heating of his face meant something.
Or
The first date Saturn and Jupiter had! Poor Jupiter is so nervous... unaware that Saturn is freaking out just as bad.

Summary
"Thank you." Uranus got a kiss as well, softly pressed onto his scalp. His twin smiled shyly at the biggest planet, a soft chirp slipping past his lips. "Aw." Jupiter crooned, at the same time lowering himself to sit down properly. Ending up sitting crossed-legged, each toddler on one of his legs. The excited wagging of his tail eased to something softer, sleepier, by being soothed by such warmth. "You two are far from your orbits." Jupiter noted, the hand rubbing his back trailing to Neptune's tail, checking if the scales needed any caring. He patted the top near his spine. "Were you bored?"
"Mama's making Ura nice jammies." Neptune meant to say in a more excited tone, but the peace that always followed their largest planet seemed to be doing a great job soothing him, calming his usually racing core eneough for him to slump. "Like mine."
"Oh?" The fabric of his shirt was pinched between large fingers to get a feel, approved for how soft it was. "They feel nice." he hummed softly. His voice did that nice rumble thing Neptune always adored, coaxing more purring from the duo. "What did you want on them, Uranus?"

Summary
Their icy babies wouldn't stop crying.
This was no surprise, as much as the sound broke Saturn's heart, their wails from the distance slowly but surely cracking his core further and further. As much as he wanted to rush their way and comfort the poor things, he had to trust that cuddles from Jupiter would soothe them enough for until he was done.
Asteroids made of gold, not silver because gold was softer, were crushed up and mixed in with water from water asteroids until it became a nice, sippable mush. Saturn played around with the texture, deciding to add more water when the whole felt too much like mush. Taking a deep breath to steady his own overthinking.
Neither of the toddlers had slept for goodness knew how long.
Saturn could certainly guess, based on how upset he'd found the twins in Neptune's orbit, exhausted but too overwhelmed to slip into sleep.
