Summary
Rick Sanchez is dead. Morty Smith grew up anyway.
Years of love, loss, and wandering have left Morty visually young, chronologically ancient, catastrophically overqualified, and living in the garage of his daughter Claire’s house. His fourteen-year-old granddaughter Mara is curious enough to follow him into the multiverse—and stubborn enough to question every answer he gives her.
Together, they encounter artificial planets, predatory corporations, alien civilizations, family grudges, and consequences Morty insists were caused by somebody else.
Mara may be the one person capable of keeping Morty attached to a single finite life—assuming Claire doesn’t ground her first.
An episodic post-canon dark science-fiction comedy about inheritance, family, and becoming the person who traumatized you.
