“So, yeah. I don’t think I wanna be Hokage anymore.” Naruto looks nervously at Sasuke.
“Okay.”
“Huh?! That’s it? I said I don’t wanna be Hokage anymore, literal minutes before my ceremony, and all you have to say is okay?!”
“What do you expect me to say?” Sasuke scowls.
Naruto splutters. “I—I dunno, talk me out of it?”

Summary
“It does matter,” he whispers, eyes flicking down to Sasuke’s lips and then back up to those gorgeous, mismatched eyes. “You—We’re together, now. I don’t want other people touching you like that."
“Like what?” Sasuke breathes. There’s a challenge in his eyes, a flush high on his cheeks.
Naruto bears his weight down on Sasuke, pinning him even more effectively to the shower wall. Sasuke squirms, but Naruto hears the punched-out breath he lets out at the move.
“Don’t play stupid.”
OR
Naruto is a possessive bastard, and Sasuke better stop acting like he isn't one, too.

Ino shuts his locker with a slam. Sasuke barely avoids getting his fingers bruised. “Shut up. She started it, and you know it.”
“Yeah, whatever.” Sasuke tucks his books more securely under his arm. “After school, in the locker rooms, right?”
“Yup.” Ino looks around suspiciously before taking a quick hit of her vape. “Make a scene—I wanna hear about this for days afterwards.”

Ino and Sakura's beef is legendary. It's been going on since the fourth grade, and now that they're in their senior year, the beef is more popular than ever. This means both girls have started getting their best pawns into more fights. Those pawns happen to be Naruto and Sasuke.

Kushina sips at her seltzer, eyes back on the dance floor. “With all the current talks surrounding an official treaty between the Whirlpool Kingdom and the Fire Kingdom, tensions have risen. The ways of our kingdoms—in the way of treaty-making, at least—are juxtaposed. Many a meeting and counsel we have suffered, from Congress and Advisors on both sides, and still no agreement has been reached.” She pauses. “I can’t help but think of the one language both our Houses understand.”
Dutifully, Fugaku asks, “And what is that?”
“Love.”

The Fire Kingdom and the Whirlpool Kingdom fought together against the Earth Kingdom during their last war, which waged for far too long. Now, even in a time of peace, tensions are rising once again. Fearing another war, the two Kingdoms have decided to ally themselves with each other under a formal treaty. However, coming to an agreement is difficult, even if the monarchs are good friends. But there is a solution.

Summary
She takes the crying Sasuke from Mama and brings him to sit on the floor. Sasuke just cries harder, kicking his feet. Then, when Naruto is placed on the ground next to him, he pauses. With tearful, big, dark eyes, he stares at the new baby.
“Ba!” Naruto babbles excitedly, reading out to touch Sasuke.
Sasuke gurgles in reply, and then touches Naruto back.
“They’re friends!” Aunty Kushina exclaims.

Five times Itachi watches Sasuke and Naruto at their birthdays as best friends, and the one time Itachi watches them as lovers.
