Happiness is a butterfly, and it dies in six weeks.
She is harsh, cold, and barren. Even if she planted the seeds of hope and stood by Leon in the sun and rain, nothing would bloom on the land she stands on.
"I'm so sorry, Ada."
There’s much more to be said between them, but they can only hold each other and their pain.

“You’re staring at her again” Leon huffed as he looked away from Ada and back over to Ashley who was seated beside him. He looked into the younger’s eyes for a second before dropping his head with frustration to his desk. They were in a literature class right now, and Ashley has decided to stop by Leon’s class for a bit because she didn’t want to attend gym.
“What am I supposed to do?” He whined into the desk, putting his arms over his head as he closed his eyes and tried to get his mind off Ada for once, but she was right there, two desks away from him, and he couldn’t help but catch himself looking over at her every time he wrote something into his notebook.

“I… I'm sorry, okay? I can't remember you” he gave up on thinking, taking a deep breath and holding it in. He felt the woman still, her hands dropping back to her sides and her mouth opening for a second before closing it again, she was so unsure of what to say to him right now.
“What do you mean?” She asked, and he could tell that her voice was disappointed in a way, and it made him sick to the stomach, but there it was, that was her voice, he knew her voice for sure now, maybe he can recall the letters he can from her with her actual voice now.

“Then what’s the issue? What went wrong that it has to go this way? Where’s the problem? I’ll fix it” He was getting angry, she could tell he was, but it was at no one in particular. The anger definitely didn’t feel like it was towards her, nor would it be towards himself because she just told him that it wasn’t his fault. She knew Leon was one to blame himself for many things, and maybe he was mad at himself right now, but about what? He’s been nothing but good to her, so she didn’t know what he’d doubt himself for enough to blame this one.
“Leon, it’s me. Okay? I’m the problem here” Ada admitted, unable to get any other reasoning that wouldn’t get him to blame himself over and over for it.
