Despite keeping his outer appearance looking as neutral as ever, the Chosen felt the hair stand up on the back of his neck. He recognized that voice. The nasal pitch and the lisp amidst the condescension. He didn't have to turn to know who was there.
He turned off the Gameboy and spoke (replaying the level was no struggle.) "I don't go by that name anymore, Augustus."
"Oh right, you changed it to something you're not worthy of," Augustus replied.
The Chosen's head snapped over to him—a move more emotional and telling than he meant to pull off, and he could see from the glint in Augustus's eye behind his glasses that he had caught it.
The Chosen breathed. He couldn't let it get to him. He had to stay composed.

Set in a universe where the Chosen and Brianna Boho are friends post their meeting after the Blackjack video (Smosh exists as its own entity in this universe) and the Chosen and Augustus are ex- high school best friends.
