Summary
Schlatt entrusted Tommy Innit to poison the royal family over a scheduled dinner, and he did not intend to disappoint. Everyone already looked down on him for being young, loud, and clumsy. That was his chance to prove them wrong. He was capable of more!
But, of course, the dinner didn’t go as planned because the universe hated Tommy. Nothing ever worked in his favor.
The pink-haired general was glaring at Tommy from across the room like a hawk stalking a rabbit. And when he whispered something in the king’s ear, the man’s face changed too. The only one who wasn’t staring at him like he was a five-course meal was the crown prince. And he was downright obnoxious, constantly asking about Tommy’s family (who, quite frankly, didn’t exist).
Tommy shifted uncomfortably under the three hungry stares. The sooner he could poison them and get out, the better.
OR: Tommy gets sent on an undercover suicide mission (not knowing it's a suicide mission) to kill King Philza. What could go wrong?

He turned and looked at the teen's face– because at this moment in time, that was what he was, a simple child with the weight of the world's expectations upon his back– and smiled softly at the pure, unadulterated joy on it. He watched fondly as the teen seemed to relax slowly as he put one step out the door and then another, repeating the process until he was fully out of the castle and officially in the gardens. Even though Techno knew that Tommy had been to the gardens several times in his life, he couldn't help but feel that this was a bit of freedom from the golden gilded cage that the royal family kept him in.
"I thought you wanted to dance?" he called after the teen.
The blond whirled around, stopping in his movement, the bright smile on his face threatening to split it in two. "Of course, come on, hurry up!"
(or, alternatively, Tommy is the crown prince of a kingdom and Technoblade is his personal guard. both are often forgotten as people before their duty except to each other. midnight dancing and sleepy cuddles ensue as they remind each other that there is more to life than duty and work.)

Summary
Dream’s not stupid enough to think that Techno’s gone twenty two years without smiling once, but it still bothered the blond to no end. Dream loves smiling, loves making people smile even more, hell, it’s even his brand! He even got a tattoo of his signature smiley face, one that he knows for a fact multiple fans have copied onto their own bodies. And quite frankly, he finds it a bit offensive that in the five months that Techno’s been his bodyguard, the man hasn’t smiled once.
He supposes it’s kind of the pinkette’s job to be intimidating enough to scare the people around Dream, at least enough to deter them from fulfilling any malicious plans they may have had, but it’s still annoying. Even when they’re alone, inside locked dressing rooms and in impenetrable elevators, the man still doesn’t let his guard down!
So, he's going to change that, if it's the last thing he does.
Or: Techno is Dream's bodyguard and the blond will stop at nothing to get him to smile

If Tommy could smirk, he would, but instead his voice echoes throughout the heads of all of the netherfiends and overworlders in the room, holding enough smugness to make up for the lack of mouth.
"Care to say that again, please?" He asks, innocently, and ignores the fuming Technoblade standing next to his throne.

Beams shone, filtered by rays of coloured red, blue, green, pink, lights, up not his face. Etched, carved into painting, his youth streamlined by tiny brushstroke, Tommy was a royal, bred, not born.
The painting framed the wall, admired by any visitor coming to pass, any staff waiting for opportunity, tommy lay, in that painting, casting a beacon of light to some, to all.
Or.. tommy works in the palace, he’s not meant to, of course, but lying about his age didn’t come hard these days, a mans got to eat somehow. The problem was, he’d caught the eye of crown prince Wilbur, who was determined to find out everything he could about tommy.
This wasn’t part of his plan.
