Cecil shifts Esteban to his hip and holds out his hand to Jon. In a deep, sonorous, almost portentous voice, he says, “Welcome to Night Vale.”
Jon, Martin, Tim, and Charlie pay a visit to meet Jon's family.

“There you are,” Carlos says, relief washing through him in an audible wave. Cecil’s stomach twists with delight— and then, near-immediately, with nausea, his now too-familiar, near-constant friend. “Are you with me?”
“Mm-hmm,” Cecil nods, a rumbling hum giving his acknowledgment. “Sorry. I just wanted to see.”
Carlos’s eyes are sparkling with curious delight when he asks, “What did you see?”
For a beat, Cecil just thinks.
Then, he answers, “Stars.”
“Stars,” Carlos echoes, fascinated, looking towards the sonogram again. “Tell me about them.”
or: cecil and carlos grow their family in more ways than one, carlos pushes the limits of the scientific method, and cecil learns the only way to truly survive in night vale is to love and not be alone.
