Hydra had spent years crafting the perfect weapon, breaking him, carving away his defiance until nothing was left but pure muscle memory and the fear of failing his handler. Yet despite wiping the weapons memories and completing 80 years’ worth of successful missions over several country lines, all it took was one man to ruin it all.
Three seconds to wipe 80 years of conditioning from their weapon.
To destroy Winter and restore Bucky into the world of the living. Only now Bucky is introduced into a world he doesn’t recognise, carrying his body in a way that betrayed his familiarity with the new build and memories for a lifetime buddled in his skull that he couldn’t recall.
Bucky is forced to try and regain his sense of self; Winter refuses to be silenced, and James refuses to go back into cyro. Now the three must find a middle ground before their fractured mind buries itself so deep it becomes unrepairable.
