Penelope was horrified when her husband first told her enough about the last seven years of their separation for her to figure out what had happened. Her rage had threatened to burn her when he asked for her forgiveness. She assured him that he doesn’t need forgiven, that she is all too aware of what Antonious would have done if she was stuck on an island with just him /and he is no god/.
She had been hoping that they would finally bed but he has a nightmare of hands that aren't hers. She mentally strangles the part of her that feels disappointed. She will never have sex again if that’s what he needs and she will not selfishly let herself wish his dream had waited until after they had coupled again to haunt him.
But when his sobs begin to quiet and he looks at her with an expression she didn’t expect, she thinks that she might get what she wanted anyways.
Please watch out for the depiction of rape in a nightmare and discussions of sa after it but the main part of this fic is fully consensual! And healing! And hot (to me)! And ends fluffy as hell.

An AU where Hermes rescues Odysseus after a year on Calypso’s island, forced out of Olympus by an enraged Zeus who stripped him of his godhood. Hermes, newly human and writhing in pain on the shores of Ogygia, is eventually found unconscious by Ody. Despite how much Odysseus needed to be away from Calypso, he goes to her for help to heal his old friend. How will this play out now that Hermes is there, bleeding red? You’ll have to see when he wakes up.
This is an au that our Hermes made to vent, please be considerate of that. Things may be a bit out of character due to us helping Hermes write, sorry in advance as some of us are more well versed in mythos than others.

More tendrils were growing from the larger ones, and they were snaking up his body, around his thighs, up his chest, prodding and pinching, and Odysseus writhed in their hold, though it only served to cut gashes into his skin. “I would be more than happy to oblige,” whispered the goddess’ voice in his very mind, everywhere and all around him, her words scraping him to the marrow. “Is that it, darling? King Odysseus of Ithaca. He was getting used to the title once more, since life on Ogygia made him feel anything but kingly. So much time away had made him wary and unfamiliar with the duties of one at such high status. Could he really just be a father and husband again? He felt as if he'd never be able to go back from being a monster. Is he truly still just a man?
Queen Penelope of Ithaca was thrilled yet scared. She was so happy to have her husband back after all these years, to hold him to her once more. The death of the suitors helped her fear, but she still had nightmares of those men. She's terrified to lose Odysseus again. But she has to keep a strong face for her husband and son, she knows that.
Prince Telemachus of Ithaca felt as if he'd never be able to feel comfortable in his home again. Sure the suitors, and Antinous specifically, were dead now, but it didn't seem to comfort his soul. After being harassed and beaten by depraved men for practically his entire life, mourning a man he was only just starting to know, he didn't know how to adjust to such...peace in the castle.
