Summary
As the full moon rises above the horizon of the Monongahela national forest treeline, the needles of the evergreens shimmer. The sky is clear for the first time in a week, the snowfall finally residing, allowing the fresh laid snow to reflect the light; the forest last fully lit.
The air is quiet, save for the rustle of the pine trees as a light breeze blows through them.
However, a towering figure moves through the night, unnatural and with no rhythm. Heavy footfalls crunch into the inches of powdery snow, and as it pulls out, it trails white dust in its wake.

So here he is. Again. Propped up on Zielle’s bed, a black maw of hair reacquainted at his back. An odd addition to their routine, though Theren’s last complaint about the whole ordeal died in his throat about five minutes prior, when the Paladin’s eyes lingered down to the swaying locks, hardened with a steely look of resolve Theren had long learnt was one to dread.
The Warlock used to have no trouble with the word, though something lately’s made it particularly hard to say no. Maybe he’s tired. Maybe he’s gotten weak.
