Britain, the last place in the whole empire Gaius Flavius Aquilla wanted to end up. After all his years of faithful service, Britain was what he received in return.
A backwater compared to other provinces, a frontier still waiting to be properly tamed, and he was being sent there.
Despite his personal feelings, being the professional he was, Aquilla did not complain and sailed from Gaul promptly, linking up with his second in command, Titus Virlius soon afterwards.
And almost immediately he is forced to march into the hornet's nest, receiving orders to go into the Scottish Highlands and root out Pictish rebels.Series

Chapter 1: Roman Centurion Quintus “Aza” Dias, posted to the frontier of northern Britain, has run afoul of the Picts and fears his end is near. Then a local witch says the raven goddess has demanded him as a sacrifice, which might prolong his life (a little). Just the beginning of Aza Wingrazer’s transformation from mortal to Immortal (discontinued).
Chapter 2: During a cycle, when Aza can have children with humans to further his line, he’s approached by a woman offering up a young girl. Whatever the woman has in mind, Aza is sure the girl will be better off with him, if she wants to go.

Summary
This is not a crossover between the two movies, but a fusion of the two-- both characters played by Michael Fassbender have been blended into one, and the random witchy chick from Centurion has been replaced by a young Pictish man who goes by the Roman name of Carolus. Both characters still have powers, but much diminished from canon.
Weirdly, it makes the movie make a lot more sense if you redo it this way.This is just the end of the movie and a bit after.
No knowledge of the movie is particularly required-- Quintus gives Carolus a summary of what has transpired anyway. Suffice to say, it's Roman Britain, a bit north of Hadrian's Wall, after the destruction of the IX Hispania Legion.
I wrote this mostly to get it out of my head, but thought someone else might want to read it.
