Summary
Young Hiro Hamada discovers a way to combine dormant nanites - microscopic machines that have infected everything since the lab they were created in exploded five years ago - with controlled robots, creating nanobots. His nanobots were seemingly destroyed, though, in the same fire that killed his brother.
Rex gets called in when Providence picks up EVO-level nanite readings in San Fransokyo, but it turns out it's not an EVO - it's professor Callaghan, the robotics professor who set the fire to steal Hiro's nanobots.

Carro is one of the best writers I have come across who has lots of cool ideas for crossovers and very strong characterization skills! So yeah, if you ever need to read really nice fic, check out all of her work! I really dig these smaller ficlets cuz they are fun and short, they fill the prompts and are cute! Lol, Carro is so good that I would even read fic from her from a fandom/show which I know close to nothing about.
A big personal shout out to Carro for writing for the super tiny Zakiper (Juniper Lee/Zak Saturday) ship! it's cute!
