Low chance that Absolute Authority will be finished properly (that's just how it goes with fanfic), and also low chance that I'll do a sequel fic. But if I did, I know some of the stuff I'd do for that fic, and one of them is "the BG3 crew stomps out the Slaughterhouse Nine". So this is that, because the world deserves that even if I never get that far with the main story, and even if I decide against writing that fic out properly.

Summary
When Izuku Midoriya was left on the rooftop after his hero shattered his worldview, all he can think about is jumping. Taking that "swan-dive" off the roof as his friend/bully Bakugo Katsuki suggested. Someone with zero quirks could never be a hero, not in the way that Izuku had always dreamed and there would be no way to miraculously get one 10 years too late.
That chance encounter with All Might changes the course of his life forever. The choice to stay on the roof for just a few moments longer shifts his destiny in ways that he'll never truly understand. Izuku has to battle with the complex grief that comes to losing his childhood best friend and it pushes him to become more than just a "quirkless Deku".
