Summary
There’s hardly anything to do in the Hall of Mandos, but to think. About his brothers. About the absence of their father. About Maglor, still stranded on the shores of Middle Earth. His mother, safe from the evils of this world, yet separated from all whom she (hopefully still) loves. His wife, who he hadn’t seen in just as long. His own hands, itching, twitching with the need to just do something about it.
But give Curufin another millenia and the thought of getting busted out of the Halls wouldn’t have even crossed his mind.

Summary
“My mother sought you out, in the daylight hours, before we traveled on together. Tell me, have you seen her again?”…
“Come again?” Now, it was Curufin who paled. “Your mother—?” Maeglin nodded unsteadily and he — he wavered and planted his head in his hands.
Mother, save me. Írissë.
*Two-hundred years after Aredhel’s disappearance, she returns to Himlad and to Curufin. Their reunion is brief, and his grief at their sundering cannot measure up to his joy at seeing her again.
She is the same as always, and yearns to be wild, and thus, she is gone as quick as she arrived. Curufin returns home completely worn out, his search for her fruitless. But a mysterious young elf turns up in the night, injured and claiming an odd identity. His name is Maeglin.
