Two years.
Two years since Min Yeong-su, an orphan since birth and teenage runaway, had run away from the house of one of his many foster families, because maybe fighting for a living wasn’t so bad after all, when almost everyone was so inexperienced.
The only decent fighters, in fact, eventually ended up in the Yeongdeungpo Union.
Geum Seong-je, Baek Dong-ha, Do Seong-mok, Hakho Ji, Jihun Bae, Eunchan Hong… Na Baek-jin. Especially Na Baek-jin – the leader of the Union.
Yeong-su was respectable – or better, earned his respect with fists. Everyone’s but Seong-je’s, and everyone’s but mainly Eunchan’s. Now he found himself even hanging around him and his friend group.
His high school, Daehyeon High School, was under the Union’s control, led by Hakho Ji.
Until it all went south, because an orphan that cried alone in the middle of the night when he was a kid, laying on the ground, became nothing more than a bitchy teenager with a superiority complex even on who was superior to him.
When Baek-jin didn’t give him what he expected, he filled the emptiness with either Hakho Ji, or Eunchan Hong. After all, they were all stuck up, and so fucking stupid.Series

In his darker moments, he daydreamed there was someone else in his apartment. Seeing shadows in the kitchen, items falling as if thrown. And when those moments came, he never thought of Baku. Those were all Seongje. Sneaking in to finish the job. He would never admit it to himself afterwards, but he wished he would. Baekjin thought he could accept it, if it was Seongje who killed him. There was something just, poetic about it.
Romantic, a familiar voice would supply in his head.
