Summary
When it comes to their death games, the only advantage Kariya has over Uzuki is his experience-honed knack for sniffing out the easy pickings of the pack. Useful, since Uzuki's motivation exceeds his in spades. If Uzuki chooses to use said motivation to scope out her prey during onboarding, that's only fair (and definitely not cheating). Kariya's too lazy to call her on it anyway.

Now, she watches a girl - small(er), young(er), bright(er) - sign her heart on the dotted line and emerge into the scramble diminished. The girl is dimmed more than her fair share, and Uzuki can't tear her eyes from the injustice - weakness that can be used to her unique advantage.
