Etho could have sworn that he had been at his base only a few seconds ago, not standing ankle-deep in the churning sea ready to follow the siren song and sink into the sea’s unforgiving maw.

Grian watched as Etho pushed his headband up, revealing a piercing, blood-red eye with black markings entwined through it. Etho raised his hands shoulder width apart, and Grian could only stare as bright blue and black lightning danced between his palms, forming an electrifying line between them.
As quicky as the lightning had appeared it vanished, and Etho pulled his headband over his left eye once again. Grian just gaped. Gem lightly punched Grian's arm, giggling.
