Summary
As the 2025 season progresses, Charles wilts deeper and deeper into a horrible depressive episode that he almost can't overcome. All the Ferrari losses have begun to take a significant toll on his mental health and he doesn't know what to do about it. In some weird turn of events, his childhood rival is the only person that can pull him out of the sinking hole that is his depression.
As they grow closer, a weird feeling blooms between them that Charles can't quite explain. He had felt a feeling quite like it before, and if he's honest, he's afraid of what it does to him. But, his childhood rival is blissfully oblivious to it all. Much to Charles's dismay, or luck, depending on who you ask.

If Jihyo had Sana’s status, she’d work damn hard to keep it. She wouldn’t let it pull wool over her eyes. She can’t afford to lose, especially not now, especially not when Ferrari’s managed to put together a car that’s competitive enough to hold it’s own. Her new race engineer is competent enough. Their pit crew is quicker than they’ve ever been. Ferrari isn’t all bad – Sana is just one problem, one little thorn in her side.
They drive the same car. Clearly, someone on the team thought Jihyo could match Sana’s driving style. Even if Sana, in all her holy Tifosi benevolence, disagreed. Intense, that had been how Sana described Jihyo’s first test ride in the sim back in the Maranello factory. She’s too hungry for this. It’s not going to end well.
Jihyo signs a one year contract with Scuderia Ferrari for the 2025 Formula One season after spending four years in a back-marker team. Her teammate is her former childhood idol, Minatozaki Sana. The chip in Jihyo's shoulder does not make this easy for anyone.

Canada had been a joke. There was no other way to explain the sheer clownery that had been the mechanical issues he'd been forced to deal with. But surely that was a one-off. They'd just won Monaco.
Every weekend after that was another layer of nightmare. His relationship with Carlos had been especially strained ever since his contract renewal didn't go through — not that it'd ever been anything more than amicable colleagues — but Barcelona was something else. Carlos was an aggressive driver with questionable wheel-to-wheel tactics. Charles could easily say that he hadn't been pleased with Carlos' behaviour ever since Lewis' contract had been announced. The fact of the matter was he wasn't a team player. Sure, it wasn't a completely cut and dry team sport, there was still an element there. The fact that Ferrari and Carlos had thrown away his chance for the Driver's Championship in 2022 to get Carlos his first win was humiliating. It was the first time he'd really gone back and thought about Sebastian's parting message to him. Mattia being gone was supposed to fix that.
