Summary
Several years have passed since Galloran's capture. The rebellion has all but dissipated, but Maldor is never one to leave any loose ends. Concerned that Galloran broke the rules and spread the syllables to locations yet unknown to him, the Emperor assigns his finest observer to the still beating heart of Galloran's revolution. Nedwin has survived years of torture-battered but unbroken. The pair of spies set off on their own quest to track down all the syllables, quite certain that they can orchestrate the outcome to favor their respective sides. However, as the perils become more treacherous, the prices become steeper, and harrowing secrets are revealed they come to realize the only thing they can truly rely on now is each other.

Summary
It’s been too much. Far, far too much for Jason Walker. Galloran asked far too much of him. Lyrian, Tark, Rachel, Nedwin, Jason, they all asked too much of Jason. He couldn’t handle it anymore.
(Or: Jason Walker is suicidal and Ferrin finds his note.)

Summary
Ferrin is pale and, Jason realizes, trembling almost imperceptibly, pupils blown wide. He’s bitten clean into his lower lip at some point, and blood trickles from the corner of his mouth.
“It’s gone,” Ferrin says, sounding far more lucid than he looks, but somehow very, very far away. “They’re gone.”
Jason blinks. “What now?”
“What,” rasps the displacer, “did you do?”
And then, of course, he promptly passes out.
(or, jason accidentally drags ferrin through deep well to the beyond. this has some...unexpected consequences. also known as jason walker's guide for what to do when a stray displacer follows you home.)

Summary
He digs the grave on the crest of a grassy hill with a nice view of a river and the distant mountains, digs until it seems deep enough, and then digs deeper still just to have something to do. Jason loses two fingernails to the soil, torn nail beds bleeding into the grave because he brushes Corinne off both times she tries to make him stop long enough for her to clean and bandage the wounds. They’d just get dirty again anyway, he reasons, and the pain gives him something to focus on besides the reality of what he’s doing.
Still the pain has nothing on the tightness in his chest.
(or, in the aftermath of their victory, jason mourns.)

Summary
Jasons friends never got closure after he killed himself, with a body never found and questions never answered they expect to carry this forever, but 10 years later when they find themselves stuck in Lyrian during an uprising of Maldor loyalists they'll learn more than they ever expected to.
Yes, I am posting Beyonder fanfiction in 2021, and yes I did just start rereading it and wanted more content.
TRIGGER WARNING there will be mentions of suicide, they're small but they will be there, there will also be mentions of alcohol and gambling later in the story.
(I made a few edits cause I noticed a few things in the notes and tags that didn't fit with the way I'm taking the story now, I also just put together that when Jason and Ferrin first meet Jason was like 13 and Ferrin had been working for Maldor for years and was a whole ass adult and now I can't write them in a relationship, big age gaps make me incredibly uncomfortable and now I just can't get past it.)
