Summary
Megatron, tyrannical ruler of the Decepticons, was killed in battle with the Autobots long ago. His body left to rust, forgotten and swept away by the ocean’s clutches, never to be recovered or seen again.
Centuries later, the Traveller arrived in Sol, bringing with it a host of threats. The Guardians were born, rising from the ashes of their past lives with their given purpose: to protect, at all costs.
The remaining two members of Fireteam Aberrance, however, were cast into exile by the very city and people they sought to protect. They roam the forsaken lands of the Earth beyond the Last City, grieving for their fallen sister-in-arms and defending the misfit camp of refugees they came to call their people.
When a Ghost discovers and resurrects his Lightbearer nearby, though, they can’t stand by and allow them to be slaughtered — even if the Lightbearer in question just so happens to be a 30-something-foot alien robot that looks like the Devil himself.

Soooo... This is my first Fanfic EVER, so idk if this will be good or not, I'm going to be working on this in my free time, so I'm not gonna have a straightforward posting schedule, but I'll try to do at least one a week if I can! But anyway, here goes!
You awaken in the Cosmodrome with some strange new power. Your Ghost— the weird robot thing that resurrected you, tells you that you are a Guardian. A Hunter at that. You have no clue what you're doing, but maybe you'll figure it out along the way!

In a long-forgotten house, scorched by fire and blasted by fallen guns, a ghost found her guardian. Little did either of them know, they would end up tangled in the Red War and the arrival of the darkness, as well as bearing witness to the revival of a group of Dark Age warlords.

Spectrum of Light is a casual project of mine, exploring basic psychology of Guardians through a story. A story of Veronica, a centuries old Guardian who is implausibly crippled, who teaches a a recently revived Kelly how to be a Guardian.
Read and see how Veronica will teach and guide Kelly through her lives. And how Kelly will help Veronica to live again. (Veronica might have an interesting past too. Maybe with some other faction besides the Last City/Vanguard. Who knows?)The Psychology aspect focuses on the Guardians. Their immortality, their duty, their age long companionship with their Ghost, how they interact with other Guardians and non-Guardians, how others judge them, and self discovery. I AM NO EXPERT ON THIS TOPIC
Also I expand on how the Last City system works, with the Guardians organization, The Tower, Military, Last City culture and workings. Stuff we don't see in the games.
All while remaining friendly to the lore. I change some events slightly so they'll make more sense, among other things, but I don't flat out change or nullify any of the lore.Target Audience are fans of the games. I won't explain basic concepts like the Fallen, or Light, in terminology for new people.

Emmett-3 looks at his fireteam members, and he thinks— this is it. I have everything I need right here. When he sulks home after a rough fight, he smiles into his pillow as he checks his communicator. When Xynova and Pico bicker, pulling ahead of the group and leaving him and Cecil to follow in their wake, he grins. When they horrendously lose yet another round of Gambit, he still can’t help but feel a warm tingle in his chest and delight in their company.
When Cayde dies they huddle together in the aftermath, curled up on the floor of Emmett’s shuttle. When Guardians start using Stasis— start channeling the Darkness— they talk it through together. When Hive start using the Light, having Ghosts, they whisper across the stars about how to kill a Ghost.
Or, how Emmett-3 met his four closest friends.
