My long-delayed fix-fic for Game of Thrones Season 8.
Inspired by the many Braime fics on this site and elsewhere of which I have grown so fond.(Taking place after The Long Night and the first few scenes of The Last of the Starks)
King's Landing teeters on a knife's edge as it waits for the arrival of the Dragon Queen who continues her conquest across the Seven Kingdoms.
Queen Cersei Lannister's paranoia grows ever more constant and predatory and her brother Jaime, now more her captive than her lover, must always be there to bear the brunt of it.
And he knows he has no-one else to blame. He made his choice.
He must be there when Cersei's baby is born.
And then, Seven willing, he will return to the woman he truly loves.Yet, unknown to him, that same woman is every bit a prisoner, down in the fourth level of the Red Keep, with a child of her own inside her.
Jaime's child.
Can Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth climb their way out of the hell of Cersei's making and finally find the life they've long felt was but a dream? -

Jaime proposes that servants hang curtains so he and Brienne can take turns bathing in private. He's pleasantly surprised to learn that Brienne's not that into the "in private" idea.
