The Hero sure doesn't feel particularly heroic right now, foot tapping impatiently against the wooden floorboards, flicking their weapon in agitation, the ghost of his deaths haunting the room they stood in. The little voice in the back of his head that catalogued and recorded every single thing he'd ever heard and seen helpfully informs him he's 1 step away from the spot he'd died at the last 4 times in a row. He steps back. There's no point in ruining the vibe of his entire house, after all.
Or, 5+1 times the Guide suffers at the hands of the Hero.

It was a mixture of water and luminite, the strange platnium-like substance that he had scavenged from the remains of the beast from the moon, scrapping the coagulated mass from the bones of the former God. He'd discover it after knocking the luminite into his endless water bucket, which tipped and transformed a wild squirrel.
That's why he was on that cloud, wondering of what else that liquid could do as he dipped in torches and various common ore. He just wasn’t expecting to be knocked back into the lake. Or to lose his grip on the bucket.
Now Hiro had to figure out how to get everything back to normal while keeping his sanity and ‘mysterious intrigue’ intact.

Basically I'm just faffing about trying to write how I think pre-canon Terraria was, specifically involving The Wall of Flesh and Guide. How Guide plays into this will be seen later-- provided I actually write more than one chapter. Things might get gross and someone might get eaten, we're working with the giant hungering meat wall here, after all. I have extremely specific headcanons, sorry.

Everyone has to be contained in an underground bunker created by some dynamite and weak pickaxes. Everyone secretly knows it won't hold. As enemies are forgiven and drama ensues, the entities come closer, reaching down... seizing, tearing, killing.
