The Strangers tag along.
It's a 'just in case' thing, mostly. Jack couldn't care less about the castle itself—or so he thinks at first. For whatever reason, though, as they explore, he kinda starts to like the place.

The next goal, only a little further down, is to help Jack fucking chill for a while before his fixation to kill Chaos got them all in trouble. He was doing this, not just for his own interests or for Jack's sake. But for the good of the people, for all of mankind. He was a hero, really. And not all heroes wore capes.
