Summary
The Scions of the Seventh Dawn are broken. With Minfilia Warde and Symkar Tsukasa lost, Joshua Ward finds himself in Coerthas, the city of Hikaru Shinta, his former lover. Their names now cursed in the eyes of the Ul'dah, a place that had once been home to him, Joshua struggles to find a way forward in Ishgard with Alphinaud Leveilleur and Tataru Taru, the only survivors of the Light's fall. Their personal tale is set against the Dragonsong War, whose flames climb ever higher around Halone's children.
Part III of "Armistice Elegies", a full retelling of FF14 from the POV of a polycule of Warriors of Light and Darkness. Ysayle and Haurchefant do not die our version of the story.
Spoilers apply for the entirety of FF14 with liberal references to SHB and EW. Our WoL!ycule is the result of there being three Azems after Venat: one murdered before the End of Days, another dead in defense of Amaurot, and another near corrupted by a Blasphemy before the Sundering. Their fourth was a familiar who loved them all. This retelling is canon-divergent; there will be major characters who live rather than die, and it features a number of OCs. It also integrates content from the optional raids and story arcs.

Summary
“Artoirel,” Stephanivien said, breaking Artoirel from his thoughts once more. “I think you deserve to be happy.”
Artoirel whipped his head around to stare wide eyed at Stephanivien, but the man just gave him a small smile as he stood up straight and took a step back.
“I’m certain you know where to find me if you need anything,” he said, gently brushing off his coat and giving a small bow before he opened the door and stepped back inside, leaving Artoirel there out in the cold with his head spinning.

Summary
Lord Tedalgrinche of House Dzemael has ever been a man willing to resort to underhanded methods in order to preserve Ishgard’s social and military hierarchy in the eye of a thousand-year storm. A ceruleum-addled lordling passing out guns in order to arm the proletariat was a huge red flag, to be sure.
That had been moons ago. Much has changed in the interim and now the highborn knight owes a life’s debt of all things to Lord Stephanivien de Haillenarte after the man acted to save his life from the claws of a dragon.
Highly conflicted over what he perceives to be an inexplicable mercy, Tedalgrinche receives a missive to visit the Skysteel Manufactory late after hours. What could the eccentric lord want with him now?

Summary
The newly ordained Count de Haillenarte is having some slight trouble adjusting to his changed role in Ishgardian society. Some parts seem simple; like staying up all night and sleeping through the day? Very conducive to tinkering with his machines beneath the moon.
The blood drinking though? He can't seem to wrap his head around that. The mortal knight Tedalgrinche has made it his mission to see the pathetic night creature that is Stephanivien properly adapt, lest he shame a thousand years of staunch tradition.

Summary
His friend had always been nervous before any event, whether he showed it or not, and Steph expected that night to be no different. He was prepared to shove down the urge to comfort Artoirel when he saw the man anxiously biting his fingernails, but this…
It was hard to see with the distance, but Steph thought he saw Artoirel smiling. There was still tension in his shoulders, but his eyes sparkled with excitement, with pride, and his left hand was folding and unfolding, shaking out the joints like a swan ridding their wings of water. When was the last time he saw Artoirel look like that?

Summary
The gravity of the situation hit him like a train. There was a chance Aymeric would die. Aymeric could die before Artoirel returned (if he ever even returned). Aymeric might have been murdered, and he would defend the suspect in court.
No, he trusted Joye’s intuition more than his own. Hilda was innocent. He needed to focus on the case and find out who *really* did it.

“Did you do it?” Steph asked. “Did you kill him?”
“...I care not what you think. I only have one request.”
Joye spoke up. “Anything, sir. We mean it.”
Artoirel sat up straight to keep eye contact with Steph. “Stay away from this case.”
“Well…” Joye frowned. “Maybe not anything. We’re trying to help you!”
“I know-” Artoirel stuttered out a long breath. That shield hiding his fear wavered for a moment. “I know. But I don’t want your help.”

In which I attempt the 2023 ffxivwrite challenge by tossing my WoLs/OCs into a blender whilst screaming and crying. Most of these will be 1000 words, more or less. Doubt I'll have anything too spicy but then again I got bullied into doing this at all to begin with, so who knows~!
