This was supposed to be a small draft and it ended with almost 20k. I still don't consider this a full story but I wrote it so I'm not looking back now.

Frankly, Tessa had barely any relationship with her parents, she simply did as Mother wished and stayed away from Father's frustrations. She had attended school quietly and without complaint, but even as unenjoyable as it had been, compared to the thought of wasting away in her room until Father demanded she join JCJenson's office branch, Tessa would have returned to St Peter's in New Adelaide a thousand times over. And so for the first time, Tessa made her own decision.
Or rather, asked Mother and Father for permission to make her own decision.
