This is going to be an a rewrite of the end of season six and beyond to make a more satisfying ending to every character. My goal is to end up and a very similar end to the show but with a happy and logical ending (Yes I do mean Jonerys it will be tragic but it will be happy in the end) Jon will be changed by death and will actually be ruthless and cunning and I plan for no fast travel and actual military strategy and consequences as well as NO TELAPORTING IRON FLEET!!!!!! Changed the title to Dragons in Balance.

At the Battle on the Trident, instead of Robert Baratheon killing Rhaegar, Barristan Selmy intervenes, cutting off Robert's hand, preventing him from killing Prince Rhaegar. Using the Incapacitation of Lord Baratheon, as a rallying point, he beats back the rebels, and calls for a parlay to explain to the rest of the rebel lords the real circumstances behind the "kidnapping" of Lyanna Stark, and his plan to depose his father. Loyalists and Rebels, after bending the knee, proceed to King's Landing, to find Jaime Lannister has killed Aerys Targaryen after the King ordered the wildfire caches lit. Eddard proceeds to Tower of Joy, to find that Lyanna has died giving birth to a child that she named Jaehaerys. Eddard, and the Kingsguard return to King's Landing, only for Rhaegar, in his grief upon learning of Lyanna's death, to all but ignore Jaehaerys, who despite having violet eyes, is the spitting image of his mother. Eddard tries to convince Rhaegar to let him raise Jae in the north, Rhaegar refuses. Five years of neglect later, Rhaegar sends Jaehaerys, along with Arthur Dayne north to foster. The ship that they took to White Harbor never arrived. Both Jaehaerys and Arthur are presumed dead

Basically, Jon gets visions of the future and memories of past Targaryens and suddenly finds himself embroiled within not only the fate of the known world, but within the fates of all those he loves and cares for.

The Prince that was promised, the heir to Valyria, the true Song of Ice and Fire. Sadly, nothing comes without a cost. Their meddling has far-reaching consequences, that none of them could have foreseen. Instead of ensuring the prophesized protector has a true chance of achieving his destiny, have they made the job a thousand time harder? Only time will tell.
