Trip threw his hands up. "Paperwork? We're supposedta be calibrating engines, not writin’ ‘what I did this summer in twenty-five thousand words or less’! Just what exactly is a 'value memo' supposed to be?"
"A justification for your existence, Commander," T'Pol supplied calmly.
“The ‘justification for my existence’ is that my momma gave birth to me.”
“Trip—“ Archer warned.

Admiral White, Starfleet's charming but ruthless efficiency expert, arrives to split up the Enterprise's crew for "operational gain." To save their found family, Captain Archer’s team fights back with a defense based entirely on quantifiable profit. Summary
M/M A collection of short stories, in no particular order, that centers around the Archer/Trip love life and a "woman" named Charlene.
Not sure what weird field these plot bunnies are bouncing around in, but this has morphed from a one off to a sort of "Charlene sandbox." More shorts will be added as the bunnies jump up.
Reviews appreciated.

Summary
Rumour has long circulated around the ENT fandom that the character of Malcolm Reed was intended to be gay by show runners and/or was played as such by actor Dominic Keating.
Sadly for queer sci-fi fans, this aspect of the character was never made it into the text of the show, but all this lead me to wonder- if Enterprise did decide to follow in the footsteps of previous Trek series' advances in representation, what might that have looked like?
This fic is one possible answer to that in the form of an alternate version of the episode Bound.
