One, a world whose heroes come from the past, with only a select few of the modern era taking up that mantle themselves.
The other, a world where heroes are plentiful in the present, and while heroes of the past do exist, they are few and far between among the centuries.
However, what would a world with both heroes look like?
A world where both the past, present, and maybe even the future are populated with heroes.

Peter Parker has been through it all, clones, symbiotes, got killed, broke his back, lost his powers, got them back, relationships, breakups, lost his aunt, friend turned villain, villain turned hero, went to war, THREE times. Yet through all that, he's still the same old jokester.
He's the mayor of New York, public identity, leading the example on how to be a hero, he doesn't go out as spiderman much anymore on account of the responsibility of keeping up with his city's needs. Ben, Kaine and Miles can take care of that. But he still goes out swinging with anti-venom from time to time.
Meanwhile, a old friend from back in the day is in town, brewing a comeback so fierce, even peter won't be able to handle it.
