David loved festivals. He didn't seem like a festival type of guy, but he genuinely loved music. He loved to listen to it alone in his room with headphones, the melodies sweeping through his brain, but even more he loved standing in front of a stage, surrounded by people exited for it, he loved to jump and sing along the texts, just feel the music in his bones.
Matteo plays in a rock band - him and David meet at one of their concerts. (and instantly fall for each other of course)

“You’re right. Well, soon, just message me when you’re free.” This dumb, beautiful boy smiled brightly at David. His eyes were glittering, seemingly full of hope, but he could see that they were hiding some sadness within him and he didn’t like that. Just underneath the surface, Matteo was drowning and David seemed to be the only person who noticed.
“Okay.” David nodded, feeling his cheeks burn, but he didn’t think it’d be noticable.
“Cool.”
“C’mon, Luigi,” Jonas said, wrapping an arm around Matteo’s shoulder as he walked away with Abdi and Carlos. David just stood as he watched the three of them walk out of the gym. His heart was beating so quickly, he swore it was going to burst in his chest. He would die right there. David knew who Luigi was finally, and Luigi was the only person that David wanted him to be.

BREAKUP AU DONE RIGHT!!!! Im now realizing I should probably just make the whole collection a rec itself but it’s too late now. Usually I stay far far away from breakup fics because they never satisfy me, but this was great. I love how even though Matteo broke up with David, he wasn’t shown to be the villain and it was clearly better for both of them , whether they saw it or not. Also, more details on Matteo’s relationship with magic!!! He’s healing!!!! This was such a great story, and I think that regardless of how you feel about these types of a fics, it’s a necessary sequel for their relationship, and a beautiful ending. Thank you author!

He left the office about two hours after he had gone in and when he walked back to his room he was extremely surprised to see David sitting outside his door. He got up quickly and stood in front of Matteo, opening his mouth once before closing it just as fast. Just as he started trying to speak, Matteo cut him off.
“I don’t want to talk to you. Not today, not ever again. Just fuck off.”
He knew that speaking to his RA like that was a bold choice considering he had just gotten in somewhat major trouble, but he didn’t care. David had ratted him out, he could feel it, and no matter how friendly or funny or hot he was, he still fucked Matteo over, potentially for the rest of his college career. Maybe even for the rest of his life.
He entered his room, slammed the door in David’s confused face, and collapsed onto his bed.

He knows it’s not supposed to be such a big deal - David and he have been dating for a while, and he has already met Laura - but the thought of celebrating their holiday with them made him nervous. He tried to read online about Shavuot - it’s supposed to be one of the Shalosh Regalim, and is supposed to celebrate the ending of the Counting of the Omer and the day the Torah was given to the nation of Israel, but he hardly understood any of this information. David told him he doesn’t need to - he always does, doing his best to make Matteo as comfortable as he could be - but Matteo was still nervous.
He knocked on the door.

Their first time is soft and emotional but their second time is entirely different. It’s still emotional but it’s also fuelled by their mutual overwhelming desire for more. They sit through breakfast with Laura making polite conversation when they’re done David takes the plates to wash them and Matteo goes to help. Laura disappears for a bit and comes back fully dressed for the day. “Okay boys I’m going out, please don’t make too much of a mess of my flat.” She leaves the flat and Matteo’s still frozen because holy shit she heard them probably.
