Sounds like the perfect love story, but what happened to them after that F5 tornado hit the school? Tyler has a dark past and its up to Kate to uncover the mystery of what changed from that shy cute boy from grade school. The reason he chose law enforcement and why she left to New York.
To this day, Kate has never worn open toed shoes. Life has taught her to be ready for everything. Her mothers heart attack, not so much, but something had to bring her home.

Sometimes if she was lucky her mom would even pull her replacement Jeep J10 out of the barn and let her ride along with her.
Meg was fourteen the first time a tornado chased her back. It didn't matter how much she helped out in demolished communities or how many times she dealt with the cries for lost loved ones, nothing could have prepared her for losing her dad.
The studies weren't enough. The warnings weren't enough. Meg Harding wanted to figure out what made tornadoes tick and what it took to get them to stop.

The only thing they could really do at this point was drive, but the trees just kept getting thicker and it was a miracle that they hadn’t crashed yet, but Boone wasn’t entirely sure that meant that they weren’t going too. Yet, he trusted Tyler to follow his gut. Tyler had something connecting him to the damn storms, he swore, telling him what was going to happen. Boone always got told it was Tylers gut but he swore the man had a damn sixth sense for the fucking thing.
