Throughout all his schooling he was repeatedly warned that their species was originally prey before industrialization and thus had primal and archaic breeding instincts to keep the population afloat. His mother had told him that without his medication or a proper mate he’d die if he was alone during his first breeding season. Then again that was likely a ploy to get a picky child to take his medicine without drinking the family out of house and home.
Surely what his mother said about Koppaite sexual urges were just stories every parent told meant to keep the birth rate lower, and it failed at that. There was no way just meeting someone attractive could throw a Koppaite into estrous.
