Rhea slides the tip of her gloved fingers down the stained-glass windows of the Church that bears her true name, feeling at the colorful pieces showcasing euphoric angels, human faces, and scripture quotes.
Depictions of men and women celebrating harvests, illustrations of joyful fathers and proud mothers as their daughters get married and their sons bring home wonderful feasts from hunts…the visitors and daily worshippers always have their eyes drawn to the images portrayed on the walls, on the sculptures.
None of them have a clue about the truth of it all, of the blood and carnage the Ten Elites brought, of the betrayal from the Agarthans to the beloved Goddess Sothis and her many children, and instead of integration, Fodlan's three countries exist within outdated segregation—
All as the Church of Seiros weeps, and the tomb of Sothis is damned.
(Or, a reimagining of the upbringing Seiros had and the many lengths pre-game she took to bring back her mother. Angst. Drama. Family Issues. Not very canon compliant, but very much a character and relationship study.)
