In a timeline where Kawi and Pisaeng are both famous and secretly dating, a jetlagged Kawi sits on Pisaeng's lap during a livestream and accidentally outs them to the public.
It’s in the last fifteen seconds of the live while Pisaeng is promoting an upcoming appearance at a local music festival that a sleepy weight drops into his lap, changing the entire direction of not only his life but Kawi’s, too.
Sweetly and adoringly, Kawi winds both arms around Pisaeng’s neck, puts his face on Pisaeng’s shoulder, and whines, “Pisaaaeeeng, you weren’t there when I woke up.”

Max’s silence is a screech, but Pisaeng only tucks Kawi’s fringe to the side and kisses his temple. “Kawi,” he says.
“All three of us know he’s awake and what he’s doing,” Max says. “Don’t you dare bridal-carry him, Pisaeng. He’s twenty-six years old.”

Kawi tilted his head to the side, marveling at the look of disbelief on Pisaeng's expression, so he took his hand, and led him to the bed. They sat down facing each other, and Pisaeng looked like he was aching to touch Kawi but was holding himself back. As if a single false movement would spook Kawi and he would flee again.
Remembering what Max had told him, Kawi took a breath. Communication was the key for any relationship to work, and he was determined to do everything in his power for theirs to withstand any challenge thrown by fate.

Kawi strips off his own shirt, but Pisaeng—too good for him, too good for anyone, why is he here—still doesn’t look anything but reverent. He can’t mean it, though. His standards will catch up any second.
Pisaeng takes his hands, and Kawi’s tremors—from fear now, not withdrawal—are so much stronger contrasted with Pisaeng’s steadiness. As Pisaeng runs his thumbs in small, soothing circles over Kawi’s wrists, there’s finally something outside of himself for Kawi to focus on.
He loves this man.

"Alright, let's do this," Pisaeng murmurs with a sigh, pushing the door open and allowing Kawi to pass through it first.
The room on the other side is cosier than Kawi expected, painted in muted colours and decorated with black and white landscape pictures. Still, Kawi feels tense and uncomfortable, his back rigid as he walks further into the office.
"Welcome. Please take a seat," the woman behind the desk says with a warm, gentle voice, gesturing towards the sitting room suite in the centre of the room. "I'll be with you in a second."
They sit down on the creme-coloured leather armchairs, the material squeaking as Kawi sinks into the cushions. And then they wait, the silence in the room thick and stifling, with nothing but the ticking of a large, wall-mounted clock and the rustling of paper breaking the quiet between them as both of them awkwardly look around. Kawi is kneading his hands in his lap, biting his bottom lip as he reads the sign on the desk over and over again:
"Niran Nittiporn,
Marriage and Relationship Counsellor".

Probably one of the best fics I've ever read, with one of my favorite ships I've ever had. Amazing fight scenes, angst and reconciliation, and hot as fuck (although I would've loved more bossy bottom Kawi, admittedly). Sacrificed sleeping before work for this one.

Summary
The calm and serenity of Max's precious day off is threatened by his terrible best friend who's on the run from a petty squabble with his boyfriend.
Max picks out a movie to leave on while Kawi has his little crisis. Eleven seconds later, Max looks askance and catches Kawi with his head tipped up just enough to watch the movie, too.
Then a text notification lights up Max’s phone, and when he unlocks it he finds that Pisaeng’s sent him a turtle emoji along with a question mark. Max sends him an eye-roll back. Kawi only goes one of two places after he squabbles with Pisaeng: Max’s or Pear’s, and he usually chooses Max because Pear calms him down too quickly.
Kawi likes being theatrical.

“We don’t need to get married,” Pisaeng says.
Kawi’s entire body drops with relief like a cut bowstring.
“But,” Pisaeng adds, “I want to know why, if you’ll tell me?”
